The combination of trains and railways is an important means of transportation for us, so knowledge about their related products also requires us to have a certain understanding. Do you have any knowledge about the facilities in the track? Today, we will briefly introduce some to you.
In order to extend the service life of our track pressure plate, we need to maintain it properly to ensure its stability. During the use of welding pressure plates, it is inevitable that they will encounter some bumps and impacts. Here are some maintenance and upkeep tips for welding pressure plates to extend their service life.
1. After removing the welding pressure plate, brush off the rust powder with a steel brush, and then remove the rust spots with dilute hydrochloric acid (concentration of 15% to 20%) to expose the metallic color of the welding pressure plate.
2. Use a 422 welding rod with a diameter of 5mm to weld on the corrosion zone. Due to the bending of the welding pressure plate caused by single-sided welding, it is advisable to use double-sided welding to offset the stress of the weld stack.
3. Polish both sides of the welded pressure plate that has been welded on the planer, with a planing amount of 0.5mm.
4. If the blockage weld seam cracks due to planing, it needs to be repaired by excavation. After double-sided planing, each welded pressure plate shall be subjected to steam pressure testing one by one. If any water droplets are found, they shall be marked. After turning off the test steam, use an angle grinder to grind long or round grooves at the weld seam where the water ball emerges, then weld it, and finally use a grinder to smooth it out.
Reasonable maintenance of railway related facilities and equipment can better assist our future development and use. Therefore, we hope that our above introduction can provide some help for everyone in the process of track maintenance in the future, which can also bring us more convenience.
